Professor Miles Parkes is a Consultant Gastroenterologist at Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge. Appointed as a consultant in 2001 he was clinical director for gastroenterology 2004-2018 and is now director of the Cambridge University Hospital Biomedical Research Centre. He has a particular interest and expertise in diagnostic gastroenterology, including endoscopy and colonoscopy, and management of Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis, coeliac disease and irritable bowel syndrome (IBS).
With a caring and friendly manner in the clinic and outside, Prof Parkes undertakes all private diagnostic endoscopy / colonoscopy himself and has extensive experience of the full range of medical and dietary therapies for gastroenterological disease. Further, by working closely with colleagues in radiology, pathology, surgery and dietetics, he ensures your appropriate investigation and treatment whatever the cause of your symptoms.
